Langtang

Located at the north of Kathmandu and bordered with Tibet, Langtang region is one of the protected areas of Nepal. The region has Langtang National Park. Due to its closest and easy accessibility with Kathmandu, the region is gaining popularity among trekkers. The whole is immensely beautiful as any other famous regions of Nepal. You can see several snow-capped peaks in Langtang region including Langtang Lirung (7246m),  Ganesh Himal, and Mt. Manaslu. Not only this, the region has 70 different glaciers of several sizes. If you do not have enough time and want to see almost all of the Himalayas ranging from Makalu in the East to Annapurna in the West, then trekking in Langtang region is a perfect alternative for you. The less is also relatively less crowded than other regions, yet more satisfying.

Along with beautiful views of Himalayan mountains and irresistible sceneries, you will also get to experience a rich culture and tradition. The region is resided by native Tamangs and Tibetans who have their own customs, values, and beliefs. Sadly, in 2015 earthquake Langtang region was highly affected, however, the region has again reopened for trekking after reconstruction and renovation.
